Today is a bit of a reboot, work-wise, so I thought I'd quickly explain.
I'm starting a new freelance retainer editing the website of Mobile Entertainment magazine, focusing on news, interviews and analysis of the mobile content and apps industry.
It's an exciting role, covering everything from games, music and TV/video through to social media, apps and 3D holographic augmented reality location services. Well, most of those.
I'm continuing in my role handling editorial duties for Music Ally, the music industry consultancy. That means their daily news bulletin, blog and fortnightly report.
I have my own new project too. It's called iPhone Games Bulletin, and it's a daily news and analysis email for the iPhone games industry: developers, publishers, tech providers, VCs, analysts... It's free to receive, so if you're interested in the area, sign up here.
As part of these changes, I'm stopping working for PocketGamer.biz, the mobile games industry website. The new editor is Jon Jordan, who's got some great plans to continue it's growth, so I'm looking forward to enjoying it as an avid reader. I will still be contributing to its sister site Pocket Gamer though.
Finally, I'm a launch contributor to Recombu, the new mobile handsets site being launched by Andrew Lim, which is about to go live. And I'm writing mobile application reviews for What Mobile magazine.
Anyway, that's me for now. In a nutshell: mobile content and apps, iPhone gaming, and the digital side of the music industry. My Twitter output will continue to focus on babies, weak one-liners, and moaning about TV shows...
